MASK MANDATE LIFTED IN JEFFERSON PARISH

Consistent with Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards’ new order, the mask mandate in Jefferson Parish will be lifted starting on Wednesday, April 28, 2021; however masks will still be required on public transit, in K-12 schools, colleges, universities and health care facilities.

JPRD SOCCER ALL STARS TO COMPETE AT THE LOUISIANA STATE OPEN CUP SOCCER TOURNAMENT

For the first time in parish history, the Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department (JPRD) will be sending two teams to compete for the Louisiana State Open Cup Soccer Championship on April 24-25, 2021 in Baton Rouge, LA.

ROSETHORNE PLAYGROUND CLOSED ON APRIL 24 & APRIL 25

The Rosethorne Playground in Jean Lafitte will be closed on Saturday, April 24, 2021 and Sunday, April 25, 2021 for the Blessing of the Fleet, which is an annual tradition since the 1940s returning this year after being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR GRAND ISLE LIFTED

In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department is lifting the Boil Water Advisory for Grand Isle based on the restoration of pressure within the distribution system and the analysis of the bacteriological samples collected within the distribution system.

JPRD ANNOUNCES NEW OPERATING HOURS & SPLASH PARK SCHEDULE FOR PARC DES FAMILLES

Starting this Saturday, April 17, 2021, Parc des Familles will be open daily from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.; however, on Sunday, April 18, 2021, the Park will stay closed until noon due to Tour de Jefferson.

JEFFERSON PARISH ISSUES BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR GRAND ISLE DUE TO WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION CAUSED BY SEVERE WEATHER

In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department is issuing a Water Service Interruption and Boil Water Advisory for Grand Isle due to the loss of pressure in the distribution system caused by loss of power and damage to backup generator equipment.

LANE CLOSURE: CLEARVIEW PARKWAY AT VETERANS BOULEVARD

Starting Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 8:00 a.m., one northbound lane of Clearview Pkwy., after crossing over Veterans Blvd., will be closed on a continuous basis.

DEPARTMENT OF PROPERTY MAINTENANCE, ZONING QUALITY OF LIFE TO CONDUCT SWEEP

The Jefferson Parish Department of Property Maintenance, Zoning/Quality of Life will be conducting a sweep within the geographical boundaries of Council District 4 on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in an effort to address property violations for quality of life enforcement.
