DEPARTMENT OF PROPERTY MAINTENANCE, ZONING QUALITY OF LIFE TO CONDUCT SWEEP
The Jefferson Parish Department of Property Maintenance, Zoning/Quality of Life will be conducting a sweep within the geographical boundaries of Council District 1 on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in an effort to address property violations for quality of life enforcement.

Signifying the revival of live festivals as we knew them before quarantine, Jefferson Parish is leading the return staging the Lafitte Seafood Festival in Lafitte on June 25 – 27 followed closely by the 25th edition of Uncle Sam Jam in Lafreniere Park on July 3.
HEAT ADVISORY ISSUED FOR JEFFERSON PARISH
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of Jefferson Parish from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, June 14, 2021 due to high temperatures and humidity.
ROAD CLOSURE: LAPALCO BRIDGE OVER BAYOU SEGNETTE
JEFFERSON, LA - Starting on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 12:00 a.m., the Lapalco Blvd. Bridge over Bayou Segnette will be closed in both directions on a continuous basis.
ROAD CLOSURE: WEST ESPLANADE AVENUE
JEFFERSON, LA - Starting Friday, June 11, 2021, at 9:00 p.m. all lanes of eastbound W. Esplanade Ave. at Severn Ave. will be closed on a continuous basis.
ROAD CLOSURE: W. METAIRIE AVENUE
Starting Monday, June 7, 2021, one westbound lane of W. Metairie Ave., nearest to the canal, between Clearview Pkwy. and Zinnia Ave., and the westbound U-turn lane of W. Metairie Ave. at Phlox St. will be closed daily between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
COVID-19 TESTING AT ALARIO CENTER WILL MOVE TO HAROLD MCDONALD SR. PARK
The COVID-19 test site at the Alario Center will be moved to Harold McDonald Sr. Park (900 Drake Ave., Westwego, LA 70094) effective Monday, June 7, 2021.

JEFFERSON PARISH LAUNCHES VAX PERKS PROGRAM
JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish has launched a “Vax Perks Program” for local businesses interested in hosting vaccination events and/or those who decide to offer incentives for vaccinated employees and patrons.
