AERIAL SPRAYING FOR MOSQUITOES

Aerial spraying in response to nuisance mosquito activity is scheduled to take place in Jefferson Parish on the evening of June 30, 2021.

ROAD CLOSURE: W. METAIRIE AVENUE

Starting Monday, June 28, 2021, the right westbound lane of the north side of W. Metairie Ave. at Zinnia Ave. will be closed daily between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

ROAD CLOSURE: CAUSEWAY BLVD. OVERPASS AT AIRLINE DRIVE

The Jefferson Parish Engineering Department is working with Boh Bros. to rehabilitate the ramps and overpass of Causeway Blvd. at Airline Drive in Metairie.

PARK CLOSURES DUE TO JEAN LAFITTE SEAFOOD FEST

All programs and use of amenities at Estelle Playground, Parc des Familles, Rose Thorne Playground and Jean Lafitte library will be suspended starting on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., until Monday, June 28, 2021 to assist with parking and shuttle service to and from the Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival.

FILMING NOTIFICATION: “HOME TEAM”

On Thursday, June 24, 2021 through Saturday, June 26, 2021 and on Monday, June 28, 2021 through Wednesday, June 30, 2021, Netflix Pelican Productions, LLC. will be filming scenes for a feature film at East Jefferson High School/Joe Yenni Stadium on the football field located at 500 Phlox St., Metairie, LA 70001.

According to the National Weather Service, Invest 92-L has become Potential Tropical Cyclone Three. Heavy rainfall could occur as early as Friday afternoon through the weekend with rainfall totals of 6 to 10 inches, 1 to 3 feet of coastal flooding and 30 – 45 mph wind gust.
