St. Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell and Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng are teaming up to clean up litter along Hwy 90, a highly traveled corridor between the parishes.

Starting Monday, February 22, 2021, at 7:00 a.m., the northbound lane of Lynnette Dr. at W. Metairie Ave. will be closed on a continuous basis.

JEFFERSON, LA – The Jefferson Parish Department of Property Maintenance, Zoning/Quality of Life will be conducting a sweep within the geographical boundaries of Council District 2 on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

The Jefferson Parish Administration, along with the Emergency Management and Public Works Departments, continue to closely monitor the weather and are ready to respond accordingly.
CURBSIDE GARBAGE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION WILL BE SUSPENDED ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2021 DUE TO ICY ROAD CONDITIONS
Curbside garbage and recycling will not be collected on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 for those residents in Unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte who regularly receive collection on a Tuesday.

Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng issued an emergency declaration as Jefferson Parish continues winter weather preparations.
CURBSIDE GARBAGE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION WILL SUSPEND SERVICE AT 1P.M. ON MONDAY, FEB. 15 DUE TO SLEET AND ICY ROAD CONDITIONS
Garbage and recycling collection will be suspended at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 15, 2021 due to icy conditions from the approaching winter storm.
