The Jefferson Parish Department of Finance is the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting and the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2022 from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

JEFFERSON PARISH OPENS RIVER RIDGE & TERRYTOWN LIBRARIES AS COOLING CENTERS DUE TO HEAT ON FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2024
All Jefferson Parish offices are closed on Friday, June 14 2024 for the Juneteenth holiday; however, the Jefferson Parish Library will open both the River Ridge and Terrytown branches from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. as cooling centers.
BISSONET DRIVE BRIDGE CLOSURE
On Monday, June 17, 2024, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, the Bissonet Drive Bridge at West Canal Avenue will be closed to perform asphalt repairs.
JEFFERSON PARISH TO HOST THIRD PUBLIC OUTREACH MEETING FOR MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN UPDATE
The Jefferson Parish Department of Floodplain Management & Hazard Mitigation will be hosting its third public outreach meeting regarding the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the East Bank Regional Library (4747 West Napoleon Avenue, Metairie, LA 70001) in the Jefferson and Napoleon meeting rooms.
JEFFERSON PARISH GOVERNMENT OFFICES CLOSED FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2024 IN OBSERVANCE OF JUNETEENTH
All Jefferson Parish Government offices will be closed on Friday, June 14, 2024 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
LANE CLOSURES: WESTBOUND LAPALCO BOULEVARD
Starting Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the center and right lanes of westbound Lapalco Boulevard between Belle Chasse Highway and Wall Boulevard will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
LANE CLOSURE: CAUSEWAY BOULEVARD
Two lanes (alternating) of southbound Causeway Boulevard near 17th Street will be closed, at night time only, starting at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024.
WESTBOUND WEST ESPLANADE AVENUE AND U-TURN CLOSURE
The left westbound lane of West Esplanade Avenue, between Edenborn Avenue and Chateau Drive, as well as the westbound to eastbound U-Turn at Chateau Drive will be closed starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 until 2 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, weather permitting.
EASTBOUND WEST ESPLANADE AVENUE, U-TURN AND RICHLAND AVENUE CLOSURE
The left eastbound lane of West Esplanade Avenue, between Lake Villa Drive and Cleary Avenue, as well as the U-Turn on West Esplanade Avenue, between Richland Avenue and Cleary Avenue, will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024, weather permitting.
