ALARIO CENTER COVID-19 TEST SITE SUSPENDED ON FRIDAY, OCT. 9 & SATURDAY, OCT. 10 DUE TO HURRICANE DELTA

With the potential threat to Jefferson Parish from Hurricane Delta, the Alario Center drive-thru testing site will suspend services on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 and Saturday, Oct.10, 2020.

LAFRENIERE PARK HOSTS FIRST TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT

The Kenner North Kiwanis will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

JEFFERSON PARISH CALLS FOR VOLUNTARY EVACUATION FOR TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE,LOWER LAFITTE, CROWN POINT AND BARATARIA DUE TO HURRICANE DELTA

Mayor of Jean Lafitte Tim Kerner, Jr. and Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng have issued a voluntary evacuation for the town of Jean Lafitte, Lower Lafitte, Crown Point and Barataria due to Hurricane Delta.

JEFFERSON PARISH ANIMAL SHELTER PREPARING FOR HURRICANE DELTA

Although there is still uncertainty where Hurricane Delta will make landfall, the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter is actively working together with other regional shelters to prepare for potential impacts and post storm response.

Councilwoman Jennifer Van Vrancken, Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng, and Jefferson Parish elected officials broke ground on the Bayou Metairie Park Improvements Project, which is estimated to cost $412,000.
