LANE CLOSURE: FRISCO AVENUE
Starting on Monday, May 16, 2022, both lanes of Frisco Ave., between Aris Ave. and Metairie Rd. will be closed on a continuous basis.
JEFFERSON PARISH ANNOUNCES 2022 ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD RECIPIENTS AT THE 22ND ANNUAL STORMWATER POSTER AND ESSAY AWARDS CEREMONY
The Jefferson Parish Department of Environmental Affairs announced the winners of the 2022 Non-Point Source Stormwater Pollution and Solutions Poster and Essay Contest, as well as the High School Sewer Science Program and the Stormwater Leadership Awards at a ceremony on May 6, 2022 held at the Lafreniere Park Foundation Center in Metairie.
FILMING TO TAKE PLACE ON LAPALCO BOULEVARD IN AVONDALE
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, Leverage 2.0 Television Productions, Inc. will be filming scenes for an upcoming TV series in Avondale on Lapalco Blvd. that will require full closure between Segnette Blvd. and TPC Louisiana between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
ROAD CLOSURE: LAPALCO BRIDGE OVER HARVEY CANAL
Starting on Monday, May 9, 2022, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., one eastbound lane at a time and one westbound lane at a time of Lapalco Blvd. Bridge over the Harvey Canal will be closed.

LANE CLOSURE: WEST ESPLANADE AVENUE
One eastbound lane (closest to the canal) of West Esplanade Ave. between Metairie Heights Ave. and Clifford Dr. will be closed.
LANE CLOSURE: LAPALCO BOULEVARD
One eastbound left lane and a U-turn on Lapalco Boulevard over the Cousins Canal will remain closed as crews work to repair a culvert under the roadway.
CURBSIDE IDA DEBRIS REMOVAL IN LAFITTE & BARATARIA WILL END ON MAY 31, 2022
With Hurricane Ida debris removal efforts moving into their final stages in the Lafitte and Barataria areas, Jefferson Parish is asking residents to move any remaining Ida debris curbside to the public right-of-way by May 31, 2022.
LAFITTE LIBRARY CLOSED SATURDAY, APRIL 30
The Lafitte Library will be closed Saturday, April 30, 2022.
JEFFERSON PARISH TO HOLD HURRICANE PREP PRESS CONFERENCE ON MONDAY, MAY 2, 2022 AT THE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER
Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng will join other Parish officials and partners for a press conference on Monday, May 2, 2022 ahead of the start of the 2022 Hurricane Season and to kick off National Hurricane Preparedness Week.
