Marsha & Friends
Miss Marsha became the Jefferson Parish resilience mascot in 2016 with a goal of educating citizens about the natural hazards in Jefferson Parish and ways to be prepared for those hazards. Since 2016 Marsha’s reach has expanded to not only include hazard education but also education about the fisheries that are in Jefferson Parish. In 2020 our offices created an Endangered and Threatened Species assessment which led us to bringing Marsha’s four friends to life to create awareness of theses species in Jefferson Parish.
