JEFFERSON PARISH & LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH LIFT DO NOT DRINK ORDER & BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR GRAND ISLE

Effective today, the Jefferson Parish Water Department, in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), is lifting the Do Not Drink Order and the Boil Water Advisory for Grand Isle.

PARC DES FAMILLES DOG PARKS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO BURR REMOVAL SPRAYING

Both the small and large dog parks at Parc des Familles will be closed until further notice due to burr removal spraying.

LANE CLOSURES: TRANSCONTINENTAL DRIVE AT VETERANS BOULEVARD

On Friday, January 14, 2022 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the intersection of Transcontinental Dr. at Veterans Blvd., one southbound lane of Transcontinental Dr. and one eastbound lane of Veterans Blvd. will be closed.

JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON MONDAY, JAN. 17 IN OBSERVANCE OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. HOLIDAY

All Jefferson Parish offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

LANE CLOSURES: CAUSEWAY BOULEVARD AT WEST NAPOLEON AVENUE

On Thursday, January 13, 2022 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., one lane of the westbound left turn lanes of W. Napoleon will be closed, as well as the northbound and southbound left lanes of Causeway Blvd.

ROAD CLOSURE: CAUSEWAY BLVD. BRIDGE OVERPASS AT AIRLINE DR. TRAFFIC CIRCLE

Starting Friday, January 14, 2022 at 7 p.m., the southbound Causeway Boulevard ramp to the Airline Drive traffic circle, as well as the Airline Drive traffic circle exit ramp to northbound Causeway Boulevard will be closed continuously.

ROAD CLOSURE: KAWANEE AVENUE

Starting Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 7:00 a.m., the eastbound lane of Kawanee Ave. between Henican Pl. and Page Dr. will be closed on a continuous basis.

OCHSNER TO OFFER COVID-19 RAPID TESTING AT SHRINE ON AIRLINE

Ochsner Health and Jefferson Parish will begin offering drive-thru rapid COVID-19 testing on Wednesday, January 5 at the Shrine on Airline in Metairie (6000 Airline Drive), to help meet the community’s unprecedented demand for COVID-19 tests fueled by the Omicron variant.

JEFFERSON PARISH CHARTER ADVISORY BOARD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETINGS TO ALLOW FOR INPUT ON THE BOARD’S RECOMMENDATIONS TO JEFFERSON PARISH COUNCIL

The Jefferson Parish Charter Advisory Board will be hosting two public meetings to allow for input on the Board’s recommendations to the Jefferson Parish Council.
