JEFFERSON PARISH ANNOUNCES MARCH PARADE ROUTES AND SCHEDULE
The parade season is not over yet in Jefferson Parish. The St. Patrick’s Day Metairie Road Parade will take place this Sunday, March 12, 2023 at noon; the Irish-Italian Parade will take place on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at noon; and the Gretna Italian-Irish Parade will take place on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 1 p.m.
BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR CROWN POINT, TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE, LOWER LAFITTE AND BARATARIA
In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department is lifting the Boil Water Advisory on March 2, 2023 for the areas of Crown Point, Town of Jean Lafitte, Lower Lafitte, and Barataria on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish.
BOIL WATER ADVISORY ISSUED FOR CROWN POINT, TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE, LOWER LAFITTE AND BARATARIA
The Jefferson Parish Water Department, in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, is issuing a Boil Water Advisory for Crown Point, the Town of Jean Lafitte, Lower Lafitte and Barataria as a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the distribution system during the repair of a 36” water main on Lafitte-Larose Highway.

The Jefferson Parish Water Department is preparing to repair a 36-inch water main on Lafitte-Larose Highway.
ROAD CLOSURE: WEST METAIRIE AVENUE BETWEEN ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD AND KANSAS AVENUE
Starting Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 9 a.m., the westbound left lane and the westbound U-turn on West Metairie Avenue between Roosevelt Boulevard and Kansas Avenue will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

NORTH KENNER LIBRARY TO ADJUST HOURS FOR CONSTRUCTION
Effective Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, the North Kenner Library (630 W. Esplanade Ave.), a branch of the Jefferson Parish Library, will be open on a temporarily adjusted schedule as interior renovations continue at the facility.

The Jigsaw Puzzle Extravaganza, hosted by the East Bank Regional Library, will occur from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie.
