LANE CLOSURES:
VETERANS BOULEVARD

JEFFERSON, LA - Starting today (Monday, July 24, 2023) the following construction projects will begin on Veterans Boulevard:

• Veterans Boulevard between Independence Street and Lake Villa Drive: Starting today (Monday, July 24, 2023), three eastbound lanes of Veterans Boulevard between Independence Street and Lake Villa Drive will be closed daily from 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Motorists will use the available lane. These closures are necessary to resurface the roadway before, over and after the canal at a cost of $48,550. Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 11, 2023 at 3:30 a.m., weather permitting. For more information, contact Eric Williams in the Streets Department at (504) 838-1021.
  
• Eastbound Veterans Boulevard from Lowe’s to Edenborn Drive: Starting Tuesday, July 25, 2023, two eastbound lanes of Veterans Boulevard, plus a shoulder and a turnout, from Lowe’s to Edenborn Drive will be closed daily from 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Motorists will use the available lane. These closures are necessary to resurface the right lane in front of Lowe’s at a cost of $53,297.50. Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 11, 2023 at 3:30 a.m., weather permitting. • Eastbound Veterans Boulevard between Causeway Boulevard and Ridgelake Drive: Starting Wednesday, July 26, 2023, two eastbound lanes of Veterans Boulevard between Causeway Boulevard and Ridgelake Drive will be closed daily from 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Motorists will use the available lane. These closures are necessary to resurface the roadway over an AT&T vault at a cost of $14,455. Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 4, 2023 at 3:30 a.m., weather permitting. • Veterans Boulevard at the 17^th Street Canal: Starting Thursday, July 27, 2023, three eastbound lanes and three westbound lanes of Veterans Boulevard at the 17^th Street Canal will be closed daily from 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Motorists will use the available lane. These closures are necessary to resurface the roadway approaches and departures to the 17^th Street Canal at a cost of $23,100. Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 11, 2023 at 3:30 a.m., weather permitting. For more information, contact Brooke Burmaster in the Streets Department at (504) 349-5801.
