ROAD CLOSURE
SOUTHBOUND CAUSEWAY BOULEVARD
Between Roman Street and the Airline Drive traffic circle

JEFFERSON, LA – Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, the southbound lanes of Causeway Boulevard between Roman Street and the Airline Drive traffic circle will be closed on a continuous basis. Motorists traveling southbound on Causeway Boulevard will detour as follows: take the exit to westbound W. Metairie Avenue, turn south onto Severn Avenue, turn east onto Airline Drive, then merge onto the Airline Drive/Causeway Boulevard traffic circle.   

This closure is necessary for bridge rehabilitation, which includes the removal of temporary steel plates from the foot of the bridge and permanently repairing joints underneath the plates. This closure is part of a $12.51 million project. Work is scheduled to be completed by Monday, September 19, 2022 at 5 a.m., weather permitting.
