JEFFERSON, LA – Starting Tuesday, March 24th, 2020, at 8:30 a.m., there will be a complete road closure in both directions of Sauve Rd. at Idlewood Pl. and Sauve Rd. at Joel Ave. in River Ridge. Only one manhole will be worked on at a time. Detour information are as follows: -Manhole #1 repair – Take St. Paul Ave. to Hester Ave. to Joel Ave. -Manhole #2 repair – Take Martha Ln. to Berclair Ave. to Joel Ave. -Manhole #3 repair – Take Hyde Pl. to Idlewood Pl. The closure is necessary to lower sewer manhole and change out work castings and cover, at an estimated cost of $8,000. Work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, March 25th, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. For more information, please contact Craig Bradley, Sewerage Department, at 736-6671.
