ROAD CLOSURE
GEORGE STREET

JEFFERSON, LA – Starting Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 7:00 a.m., both northbound and southbound lanes of George St., between River Rd. and James Scrubbs Jr. Dr., will be closed. Only local traffic will be allowed between the railroad crossing and River Rd. All other travelers will detour to Avondale Garden St.

The closure is necessary for road crossing renewal at an estimated cost of $24,000. Work is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.
