ROAD CLOSURE
COUSINS STREET
Between Barataria Boulevard and Oakmere Drive

JEFFERSON, LA – The eastbound lanes of Cousins St., between Barataria Blvd. and Oakmere Dr. are closed. Once work is completed on the eastbound lanes, the westbound lanes of Cousins St., between Barataria Blvd. and Oakmere Dr. will be closed.

Those traveling eastbound will detour by going northbound on Barataria Blvd., then eastbound Lapalco Blvd., then southbound to Paxton St., then to Cousins Blvd. Those traveling westbound will detour by going northbound on Paxton St., then westbound to Lapalco Blvd., then southbound onto Barataria Blvd., then to Cousins St.

This closure is necessary to repair broken street panels at a cost of $211,000.00. Work is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday, January 30, 2024 by 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
