LANE CLOSURE
MOUNES STREET AND EDWARDS AVENUE

JEFFERSON, LA – Starting Monday, March 18, 2024 at 7 a.m., one lane of eastbound Mounes Street at Edwards Avenue will be closed.

Motorists traveling eastbound on Mounes Street should use the available lane. Motorists on northbound and southbound Edwards Avenue will not be able to cross Mounes Street and should use Sams Avenue and Frost Street or Distributors Row and Pepsi Street to detour around the closure.

The closure is necessary to make repairs to the sewer service at a cost of $15,000. Work is scheduled to be completed by 6 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024, weather permitting.
