LANE CLOSURE
MISSISSIPPI AVENUE

JEFFERSON, LA – The northbound lane of Mississippi Ave., between 27th St. and Fulton St., will be closed until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, weather permitting.

Please note, the northbound lane will be closed for the first couple of months, the closure of the southbound lane of Mississippi Ave. will follow.

See below for detour routes for northbound and southbound Mississippi Ave.:

• Northbound detour - Motorists will detour by turning left onto 27th St., right onto Missouri Ave., right onto Fulton St., back to Mississippi Ave.
• Southbound detour – Motorists will detour by turning right onto Fulton St., left onto Missouri Ave., left onto 27th St., back to Mississippi Ave.

This closure is necessary for upgrades to a lift station at a cost of $1.3 million dollars. For more information, please contact Capital Projects Department Director Neil Schneider at 504-736-6833.
