THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE, CROWN POINT AND BARATARIA
Repairs will cause low water pressure in the area between the hours of midnight - 6 a.m. on March 3 & 4, 2022
JEFFERSON, LA - The Jefferson Parish Water Department will be performing repairs on the 36” main waterline to the Town of Jean Laffite, Crown Point and Barataria starting tonight.
The scheduled time for repairs, which will cause low water pressure in the area, will be Wednesday night, March 2, 2022 and Thursday night, March 3, 2022 from the hours 12 midnight to 6 a.m. on both days. Repairs are expected to be complete by Friday morning, March 4, 2022 at 6 a.m.
This repair is necessary due to damage to the waterline as a result of Hurricane Ida winds. The Jefferson Parish Water Department was unable to find the damaged waterline until now, as this waterline travels through a wooded area in Jean Laffite State Park.
