JEFFERSON PARISH TO HOST INAUGURATION CEREMONY
FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2024

First council meeting of 2024 to take place immediately following inauguration ceremony

JEFFERSON, LA – Starting at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Jefferson Parish will host an inauguration ceremony for the elected officials of Jefferson Parish. Immediately following the inauguration, the first council meeting of 2024 will take place. The ceremony, which is open to the public, will be held in the Senator Ken Hollis Theater at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center (6400 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70003). Doors open at 9:00 a.m.

The following officials will be sworn into office:

Honorable Joseph P. Lopinto - Sheriff
Honorable Jon A. Gegenheimer - Clerk of Court
Honorable Cynthia Lee Sheng - Parish President
Honorable Jennifer Van Vrancken - Councilwoman At-Large, Division A
Honorable Scott Walker - Councilman At-Large, Division B
Honorable Marion F. Edwards - Councilman, District 1
Honorable Deano A. Bonano - Councilman, District 2
Honorable Byron L. Lee - Councilman, District 3
Honorable Arita M.L. Bohannan - Councilwoman, District 4
Honorable Hans J. Liljeberg - Councilman, District 5

The inauguration ceremony will be streamed live on JPTV (Channel 6 on Cox and Channel 99 on AT&T Uverse), Jefferson Parish Facebook Page and the Jefferson Parish website.
