JEFFERSON PARISH TO CONDUCT AERIAL
SPRAYING FOR MOSQUITOES ON TUESDAY, OCT. 25, 2022

JEFFERSON, LA – Aerial spraying, in response to mosquito activity, is scheduled to take place on the East and West Banks of Jefferson Parish on the evening of Tuesday, October 25, 2022, over parts of Metairie, Kenner, Jefferson, River Ridge, Harahan, Crown Point, Lafitte, Barataria, Westwego, Bridge City, Gretna, Harvey and Terrytown, weather conditions permitting.

Low-level aerial spraying will take place from 6:45 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. If weather conditions on the evening force the cancellation of the scheduled flights, aerial spraying will take place on the first subsequent evening on which weather conditions permit.

AREA #1: Metairie
North to I-10; South to Airline Hwy.; West to Causeway Blvd.; East to Orleans Parish Line.

AREA #2: Metairie and Lafreniere Park
North to I-10; South to Airline Hwy.; West to David Dr.; East to Transcontinental Dr.

AREA #3: Kenner
North to Lake Pontchartrain; South to Mississippi River; West to St. Charles Parish Line; East to Roosevelt Blvd. (excludes MSY Airport)

AREA #4: River Ridge and Harahan
North to Airline Hwy.; South to Mississippi River; West to Little Farms Ave.; East to Clearview Pkwy.

AREA #5: Westwego and Bridge City
North to 4th St.; South to Lapalco Blvd.; West to River Rd.; East to Victory Dr. & Avenue H

AREA #6: Harvey, Gretna and Terrytown
North to Mississippi River; South to Lapalco Blvd.; West to Peters Rd.; East to Orleans Parish Line

AREA #7: Lafitte, Barataria and Crown Point
North to Fleming Curve near Palmetto St.; South of the end of Jean Lafitte near Kenal Rd./Orange Ave.; East to Marsh; West to Marsh

All of the Town of Crown Point (extending into the wooded area surrounding the town)
North of Barataria Blvd.; South of Jean Lafitte Blvd.; West of Leo Kerner Pkwy.; East of Sharpe Rd.
