JEFFERSON PARISH RESIDENTS ASKED TO CONSERVE WATER
TO PREVENT SEWERAGE SYSTEM BACKUPS

JEFFERSON, LA – Residents in Jefferson Parish are asked to minimize wastewater leaving their homes in an effort to avoid overloading the Parish sewerage system.

Please limit non-essential activities like washing dishes and doing laundry. Wide-spread power outages at lift stations across the parish have increased the likelihood of sewerage backups.

Crews are working diligently to assess damages and make necessary repairs. If residents are aware of any water line damages, please call the Emergency Operations Dispatch at 504-349-5360.
