JEFFERSON PARISH REGISTRAR OF VOTERS ANNOUNCES
EARLY VOTING LOCATIONS FOR FALL 2023 ELECTIONS

JEFFERSON, LA – The Jefferson Parish Registrar of Voters Office is introducing two new temporary early voting sites to add to the five other permanent early voting locations for the upcoming Fall 2023 Gubernatorial Primary and General Elections, set to take place on October 14, 2023 and on November 18, 2023.

“Early voting presents a vital opportunity for citizens to exercise their democratic right and play an integral role in shaping the future of our community,” said the Jefferson Parish Registrar of Voters Dennis A. DiMarco. “The Jefferson Parish Registrar of Voters Office is committed to facilitating an accessible, convenient, seamless and efficient voting experience for all eligible residents, and the inclusion of temporary locations underscores this commitment.”

Early voting for the Gubernatorial Primary Election will take place Saturday, September 30, 2023 to Saturday October 7, 2023 (excluding Sunday, October 1, 2023) from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. General Election early voting will take place November 3, 2023 to November 11, 2023 (excluding Sunday, November 5, 2023 and Friday, November 10, 2023 in honor of Veteran’s Day) from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Temporary early voting locations include the East Bank Regional Library (4747 West Napoleon Ave. in Metairie) and the Marrero Community Center (1861 Ames Blvd.). Voters registered in Jefferson Parish may also cast an early vote at any of the permanent early voting locations, including the Joseph S. Yenni Building (1221 Elmwood Park Blvd. in Harahan), Charles B. Odom Building (5001 West Bank Expressway in Marrero), the Kenner-Rivertown Registrar of Voters Office (408 Minor St. in Kenner), or the Jane O'Brien Chatelain West Bank Regional Library (2751 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey). Voting in Grand Isle will be available on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Grand Isle Multiplex (3101 LA-1, Grand Isle, LA 70358).

According to DiMarco, “The inclusion of both permanent and temporary early voting sites exemplifies our dedication to meeting the diverse needs of our community members. The temporary locations have been strategically chosen to serve areas experiencing high voter demand and limited accessibility to the permanent sites, with the intention of minimizing wait times for voters.”

Before residents prepare to cast a vote, the Jefferson Parish Registrar of Voters Office is also reminding all to keep the following vital election information in mind:
