ANNOUNCE OPENING OF NEW TOT LOT AT LASALLE PARK
JEFFERSON, LA – The Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department and Councilman Deano Bonano (District 2) are proud to announce the opening of a new Tot Lot at LaSalle Park (6600 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003).
Designed for children ages 2-12, the Tot Lot installation includes a new play structure with rubber safety surfacing and protective overhead netting. The project also includes the addition of a new walkway, seating, fencing and drainage.
“This project signifies JPRD’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art recreational spaces for residents and visitors alike,” said Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Director Harold Buhler. “This exciting addition provides a fantastic play area for children while their parents enjoy some softball action during the week. But it’s not just for weekdays; it's a vital space for our weekend tournaments, catering to our travel ball players and their siblings. This new addition isn’t just about play; it's about creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of community spirit.”
“Being able to bring families and residents together to enjoy our beautiful parks and recreational areas is a priority for Council District 2,” said Councilman Deano Bonano. “I am excited to be able to provide young children with the ability to play and socialize in a safe, fun and accessible environment.”
