JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON THURSDAY, NOV. 24 AND
FRIDAY, NOV. 25 IN OBSERVANCE OF THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish Government offices, including the Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS), will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25, 2022, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

In addition, all Jefferson Parish libraries will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, and will remain closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25, 2022, and will reopen to the public on Saturday, November 26, 2022. For more information, visit www.JPLibrary.net.

There will be no Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation (JPRD) programming on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25, 2022, and parks will be closed (not including Lafreniere Park and Parc des Familles). All JPRD programming and parks will resume normal operations on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Visit www.JPRD.com for more information.

Jefferson Parish Transit will be running a Saturday schedule service on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Visit www.JPTransit.org for more information.

There will be no curbside garbage collection on Thursday, November 24, 2022, for residents of Unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte. There will be no make-up day for the missed garbage collection on Thanksgiving Day; the next collection day for those scheduled to have garbage pick-up on Thursdays will be Monday, November 28, 2022. All four Parish trash drop-off sites and the Jefferson Parish Landfill will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will reopen on Friday, November 25, 2022. Curbside recycling will take place as scheduled for areas that receive pick-ups on a Thursday.
