JEFFERSON PARISH HOSTS VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING ON
GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN – A SUSTAINABLE STRATEGY FOR BALANCING WATER
The virtual meeting will take place on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. on JPTV, Jefferson Parish Facebook and jeffparish.net/giplan
JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish is hosting a virtual meeting for the Green Infrastructure Plan – A Sustainable Strategy for Balancing Water, which will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
The Green Infrastructure Plan is part of Jefferson Parish’s continuing efforts to manage rainwater as a more resilient community. The objective is to create a plan that will provide guidance to the Jefferson Parish Council and Administration on best practices for integrated stormwater management and green infrastructure on public and private property.
This meeting will introduce the public to green infrastructure concepts, discuss projects the Parish has already implemented, and the process for submitting input on the plan.
Due to COVID-19, this public meeting will be held virtually. The virtual meeting will be viewable on JPTV (Channel 6 on Cox and Channel 99 on AT&T Uverse), as well as the Jefferson Parish Facebook page at www.facebook.com/JeffersonParishGov/. The public can also view the Virtual Public Meeting at the Plan website, jeffparish.net/giplan.
The public is invited to submit public comments by filling out a survey at jeffparish.net/giplan or by emailing GIplan@jeffparish.net.
