JEFFERSON PARISH CLOSED FRIDAY, APRIL 7, 2023 IN OBSERVANCE OF GOOD FRIDAY

JEFFERSON, LA – All Jefferson Parish Government offices, including all Jefferson Parish libraries and Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS), will be closed on Friday, April 7, 2023. Programming at Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation Department (JPRD) parks and playgrounds (not including Lafreniere Park or Parc des Familles) will be suspended on Friday in observance of the Good Friday holiday and will resume normal operations on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Additionally, all Jefferson Parish libraries will be closed on Sunday, April 9, 2023 in observance of Easter.

Jefferson Parish Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday, April 7. CLICK HERE to see maps and schedules to check service by route.

Garbage collection and curbside recycling will take place as scheduled. For additional information regarding collection, please contact the Department of Environmental Affairs at 504-731-4612.
