GRAND ISLE ISSUES MANDATORY EVACUATION AHEAD OF TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL
JEFFERSON, LA – Because of Tropical Storm Cristobal, Grand Isle officials are issuing a mandatory evacuation for boats and campers. This will take effect at noon today, June 5, 2020.
Voluntary evacuation for residents today, June 5, 2020 at noon.
Mandatory evacuation for all, June 6, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. Beach will be closed. Grand Isle Police Department will be patrolling.
Grand Isle officials are expecting a storm surge of 2-4 ft. Average rainfall totals of 6-10 inches are expected.
