FORMER GOVERNOR'S DAUGHTER TO DISCUSS BOOK AT EAST BANK REGIONAL LIBRARY

JEFFERSON, LA – Victoria Edwards, the second-oldest child of Louisiana governor Edwin Edwards, will discuss her book, The Life and Times of a Governor’s Daughter, at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the East Bank Regional Library (4747 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie, LA 70001).

This event is free of charge and open to the public. There is no registration.

Now 71, the former model, actress and high school teacher said she felt motivated to tell her story. Looking back, Edwards said she finally understood why she had such a rocky relationship with her father. One, because they were so much alike, and two, because she was bipolar, a diagnosis she didn’t receive until her 40s. She said their relationship was mended before he passed away.

“Because I did appreciate him finally, I never really understood after 2013 that he absolutely had my back on everything,” said Edwards.
