EXPUNGEMENT CLINIC TO TAKE PLACE AT
JOHNNY JACOBS PLAYGROUND ON DEC. 16, 2023

JEFFERSON, LA – The Justice & Accountability Center of Louisiana, in partnership with Southeast Louisiana Legal Services and Jefferson Bar Association, will host a free expungement clinic at Johnny Jacobs Playground, located at 5851 5th Ave. in Marrero, on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at 9 a.m.

All Jefferson Parish residents in need of an expungement are invited to attend. Residents must bring their background check, bill of information and sentencing minutes. Attorneys will be available onsite to review eligibility and help fill out paperwork; however, the resident will have to file and pay court costs.

Jefferson Parish Councilmembers Marion Edwards (District 1), Deano Bonano (District 2) and Byron Lee (District 3) are partners for this event, which is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Those with no or low income can call 504-529-1000 (ext. 230) by Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 to determine if they qualify for a fee waiver.
