EMERGENCY CLOSURE OF SOUTHBOUND LANES OF AMES
BOULEVARD BETWEEN BELLE TERRE ROAD AND LAPALCO BOULEVARD

JEFFERSON, LA – Due to a collapsed sewer line under Ames Blvd., both southbound lanes between Belle Terre Rd. and Lapalco Blvd., is currently closed. Motorists traveling south on Ames Blvd. will detour by turning left on to Belle Terre Rd., right on to Bonnie Ann Dr. to Lapalco Blvd., then right back on to Ames Blvd.

Cost for this closure is $25,000 and work is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, weather permitting.
