ELECTION DAY IS
SATURDAY, JULY 11, 2020
JEFFERSON, LA – Tomorrow, Saturday, July 11, 2020, is Election Day in Jefferson Parish and the State of Louisiana.
The Presidential Primary is a closed party election. Registered Democrats will only be able vote on candidates for the Democratic Party Presidential Nominee and other Democratic State and Local committees.
Registered Republicans will only be able to vote on candidates for the Republican Party Presidential Nominee and other Republican State and Local committees.
Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Anyone in line at 8:00 p.m. will be allowed to vote. Voters can find their polling location and a sample ballot by downloading the GeauxVote Mobile app on smartphones and tablets or by visiting GeauxVote.com.
In response to COVID-19, hand sanitizer will be available and voting machines will be routinely wiped down. According to the Secretary of State, the use of a mask or face covering is strongly encouraged but not mandatory while voting.
