DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. PARADE AND BANQUET TO TAKE PLACE IN JEFFERSON PARISH ON MONDAY, JAN. 15, 2024
JEFFERSON, LA – The Martin Luther King, Jr. Task Force, Inc. of Jefferson Parish, along with Jefferson Parish Councilman Byron Lee of District 3, will host a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade and Living The Dream 2024 Banquet on Monday, January 15, 2024.
The parade will line up at 8:45 a.m. in front of L. W. Higgins High School, located at 1701 Lapalco Boulevard, and then will start the march at 10 a.m. The route is down Lapalco Blvd, to Ames Blvd, to the Westbank Expressway, ending at Johnny Jacobs Playground.
“We invite all residents of Jefferson Parish to join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,” said Councilman Lee. “We are proud to host this very special event every year to honor Dr. King’s vision, legacy, ideologies and contributions to our great nation.”
Every January, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Task Force, Inc. of Jefferson Parish also hosts a Banquet to celebrate the Holiday. The Living The Dream 2024 Banquet will take place at the Four Columns Banquet Hall, located at 3711 Westbank Expressway Blvd. in Harvey, LA 70058 on Monday, January 15, 2024. The event will start at 6:45 p.m. with a social hour from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Supplementary ticket distribution will also be available on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 5851 5th Ave, Marrero, LA 70072.
