CURBSIDE RECYCLING SERVICE WILL NOT RESUME FOR UNINCORPORATED JEFFERSON PARISH AND THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE
JEFFERSON, LA – At today’s Jefferson Parish Council Meeting (on Wednesday, February 7, 2024), it was determined that recycling will not resume for unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte. Drop-off recycling sites at David Drive and Lapalco Boulevard will also remain closed. The Jefferson Parish Council seeks to look for alternative recycling programs.
Customers will not see a charge for curbside recycling on their Jefferson Parish utility bills. For more information about curbside collection, call the Department of Environmental Affairs at (504) 731-4612. The Jefferson Parish Council Meeting discussion about recycling is available on JPTV.
